Promoting your Yearbook
A Write-up in school and or community newspapers will create community awareness and build support for your school
Having a Cover or Title Page Design Contest gets students of all ages involved in the yearbook project, builds self-esteem and creates a totally unique yearbook your students will be proud of.
Give a "Thank You" Gift for each yearbook order. Pens, pencils, magnets with your school name or catch phrase are an inexpensive and visible reminder.
Create a "Thank You" Bullitin Board for purchasers to sign whn they place their order.
Have a Countdown using signs, announcements or your school PA system to remind students of yearbook and sales deadlines.
Create a Skit about your yearbook theme to create a buss and enhance sales. Hand out order forms afterwards.
Place a Banner in front of your school or in the main hallway announcing that yearbook saleshave begun
Ask local businesses to display "We Support" Signs in their front window and keep a stack of order forms in a visible location in return for their ad in your yearbook.
Create and visibly display a Graph or Chart to monitor progress in sales.
Hang Posters to announce your yearbook order deadline. These are available from Cory Adams Photography
Send a "Last Chance" Memo to those who haven't purchased a book yet.
Choose a Unique and Memorable Theme Rather than "Reaching For the Start" consider "Madison North and South - Together Again."
Publish Student Quotes about what your theme means to them. Include as many students as possible.
Send home Postcards to let parents know that yearbooks are available to purchase for themselves or their child. Suggest purchasing two books - one for the student and one for them.
Throw a Signing Party for the last day of school Make yearbook distribution a special, fun event!
